“Racing in a Prijon Yukon–a 14.5′ touring kayak–Rok Skribar of Albany, NY topped a field of 21 competitors in the first annual Bottom Moose race. The race started at the top of Fowlersville Falls and was completed at the end of the five mile section that includes eight named class 4-5 drops and numerous lesser rapids. The river level at the start of the race was 4.5′–considered a high level for this challenging run.

“Ted Newton finished only 16 second behind Skribar despite competing in a traditional play boat–a Perception Mirage.”
